Teens Caught With Marked Property
The importance of a new SmartWater property marking initiative in Lowestoft was highlighted this week after two 15-year-old boys were arrested in connection with a house burglary.
Police were contacted at about 2.40am on Saturday about a possible burglary in progress as a home in Beresford Road. Officers attended and the two teenagers were detained. Games consoles and peripherals that had been marked with SmartWater were among the items stolen.
A Police Spokesperson said: "Officers making the arrests recovered a games console and controllers, and these will now be tested to prove they came from the address.”
The two 15-year-olds have been bailed to return to Lowestoft police station pending further enquiries.
